The A&M Consulting Team was established in 2023 as a service within the Strategy & Transformation Function. This team works in close partnership with the Global Marketing Transformation Office (MTO) to support the Powering Positive Growth Marketing Transformation agenda. Through The Becoming Better Investors workstream, A&M Consulting has led the diagnostics and delivery of +$500MM of reinvestable savings. The program is expected to continue to expand throughout 2025/2026 across all sectors.
This role is responsible for A&M spend process mapping and providing analytical support to A&M Experts to develop the proposal for A&M right sizing optimization, A&M allocation and A&M efficiency & effectiveness opportunities.
The scope covers the data collection & processing (including A&M spend cube set up, review & validation, leveraging internal data tools to gather required data), creation of Market Factbook by synthesizing & analysing the qualitative and quantitative data received from the market, addressing different hypotheses with customized analyses based on the data & SME conversations, managing internal & external benchmarks database, support in automation efforts related to data collection, validation & reporting, building & managing best practice library.
Responsibilities- Main point of contact for all BBI data-related queries from internal teams, markets, external stakeholders
- Provide responses to ad-hoc follow-ups when double-click required with tables/charts/stories using relevant data
- Support processes/formatting for output adherence and delivery to agreed scope – in line with the agreed timelines, aligned templates and content management
Data Management
- Maintenance & Regular Update of Data Dictionary to ensure all data required for A&M Consulting team are collected
- Coordination for data collections & processing for all new projects from multiple sources (e.g. marketing, insights, finance), which includes collection, formatting, clearing gaps, liaising with local SME to clarify & validate the data quality and accuracy.
- A&M spend cube set up, ownership of the data processing & validation to ensure the quality outputs
- Leverage internal & external data tools to extract relevant data for analysis and queries received (e.g. Cockpit)
- Ownership over Quality checks and on-going changes required based on changing phases of the project and new information.
- Provide informed responses to A&M Senior Expert when double-click required with tables/charts/stories using relevant data
Diagnostics
- Provide preliminary commentary to explain business performance, drivers, and optimization opportunities; leverage business performance explanations from teams around the world to incorporate considerations beyond data into reporting
- A&M Expert:
- Lead the assigned part of the problem solving, as part of Market Deep Dive: develop hypothesis to address given problem statement, prepare set of analyses & data required to perform them to support the hypothesis, develop creative solutions to drive efficiencies & effectiveness of A&M spend
- Identifies inefficiencies in working and non-working A&M spend, develops hypothesis for driving efficiency and right sizing of A&M spend in the BU. Apply identified set of proven high-impact levers to size opportunity.
- Identify above-market opportunities and channel to the right teams/functions to deliver (incl. S&T-driven opportunities)
- Maintain, further develop, and share the toolkit of proven levers/initiatives across markets
- Provides recommendations on S&T service catalogue leverage in the BU and work with Sector S&T Design leads /Sector PMO in understanding size of the prize and resourcing requirements.
- Together with project manager and Senior A&M Expert co-leads development of the portfolio of A&M optimisation initiatives and ensures support during Deliver stage of the project.
- Co-leads development and alignment of ambitious but realistic A&M efficiency target for the BU.
- Establishes A&M spending frameworks, processes and ways of working, agency roster to ensure sustained A&M optimisation and right-sizing in the BU.
- Support internal capability building effort in A&M process mapping to enable PepsiCo to drive further Marketing transformation projects independently and developing sustainable solutions for the BU in the long term.
- Support in deploying the necessary tools and processes to make change stick, building continuous productivity management
Governance & Reporting
- Ensures structured governance around data and maintaining collaboration with broader teams (e.g. can organize and lead quarterly meetings with cross-functional teams to review data governances, address issues, coordinate plans, build data inventory)
- Participate in weekly / daily meetings and reviews with A&M Experts, Analysts and Project Managers; preparation for SteerCo & other internal communication from data / knowledge management side
- Liaise and align with A&M Allocation team to setup and execute ongoing reportings, analytics, (utilizing dashboards, templated decks, and reporting tools); partnering with A&M Experts, Analysts & Project Managers
- Prepare material for stakeholder meetings, data reviews (e.g. PPT)
Way of Working Improvements (Automation, New Methods)
- Supports automation efforts related to data collection, validation and reporting (e.g. work on the automation streams for Scorecards, or Prodigy);
- Establish safeguards and automate data quality checks, e.g., regular trend-watch of data streams to identify and address potential trend breaks.
- Research new methods of data collections, or automation programs within the company
- Implement best practices for data entry and management to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Improve existing processes based on feedback loop; leverage global/regional synchronization efforts to drive further streamlining and unification of data sets for future digitalization work; support simplification, standardization and digitalization efforts (in cooperation with global and CC stakeholders)
- A mid-level Insight or Analytics professional with experience in a leading consumer goods company. With atleast 7 years+ experience
- Education: Masters in Maths, Statistics, Economics, Sociology, Marketing
- Experience in working with large data cubes
- Can synthesize multiple, disparate data sources.
- Strong collaborator: actively creates and participates in opportunities to co-create solutions across markets; will be willing and able to embrace Responsive Ways of Working
- Proven analytics, business analytics, research experience, consumer insights experience or commercial experience in combination with strong analytical skills
- High degree of familiarity with CPG and Food & Beverage industry A&M services providers
- Deep understanding of CPG industry business performance outputs and causal measures, their relationships, and how to bring business performance insights to life visually
- Operational experience from business servicing sector and/or consulting experience would be a plus
