Responsibilities

The Opportunity

The Sourcing Planner will partner with the PFNA Platform owners, Industry Managers, and Raw Material Planners to maintain an optimized network wide Supply Plan that delivers against target service and cost metrics while adhering to capacity, network and transportation constraints through extensive data maintenance. This role will be accountable to maintain accurate inputs required for SAP S4/HANA Network Optimization application, analyze the production and sourcing plan outputs against an aligned solution quality definition, communicate changes to their platform owner, publish the sourcing ratios/quotas for consumption by other supply chain planning applications and setting up Origin-Destination-Product combinations that allow the daily operation of other S4/HANA modules.  This person will have the responsibility to create sourcing and supply recommendations with help of scenarios and simulations and align the organization on the optimal strategy for finished good and semifinish good deployment.  The chosen candidate is expected to have a strong understanding of optimization models and ability to analyze complex data sets to develop recommendations.  They should have experience influencing upward and cross-functionally in the business and have the thought leadership to suggest optimal supply plans across a network.

Your Impact

As  Network Optimization Planner your responsibilities would consist of:

Functional Responsibilities• Review master data and transaction data flowing into NetOpt tool for accuracy and escalate issues • Load & maintain network optimization data in the product aggregate grouping (PAG) master data tool• Partner with Net Opt Managers (Platform Owners) to develop finished and semi-finished goods production and sourcing plan for internal plants and external co-manufacturers in the 0–64-week horizon• Execute ad-hoc scenario and simulations analysis and analyze impacts• Identify and coordinate production plans for raw material shortages that result in the best outcome for service• Review and publish production and sourcing ratios for platform to be utilized by downstream supply planning applications• Measure, monitor and tune network optimization outputs by adjusting inputs and constraints• Review planning alerts tied to specific NetOpt solve to identify shortages, target inventory violations, and capacity and utilization issues and align with Net Opt manager on resolution • Collaborate with and incorporate feedback on the source plan from cross-functional partners including master production planners, replenishment planners, inventory optimization raw material planners, industry managers and net opt managers (platform owners) to appropriately tune model with parameters and constraints• Partner with Inventory Optimization to determine IO policy adjustments required due to manufacturing or storage constraints• Support the monthly S&OP and AOP (annual operating plan) processes with outputs from network optimization• Communicate outputs of network optimization in a simplified way to NetOps managers for decision making purposes• The person in this role will be expected to help create and give feedback on new business processes in relation to supply sourcing analytics and how the team collaborates with FLNA HQ and Field teams• Support POET and Innovation processes by setting all master data required and generating the corresponding Production and Sourcing Ratios.• Create T-Lanes for daily and weekly operation requirements.

Who Are We Looking For?

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of Supply Chain Planning experience is required with exposure to network optimization preferred• Ability to navigate complex datasets• Flexible, ability to model “what if” scenarios with business acumen• Ability to translate supply chain constraints to NetOpt model without compromising the optimization integrity of the application• Ability to educate and influence up to higher levels in organization, primarily Net Opt managers, for alignment on source plan outputs which will • Effective team player• Influencing and persuasion skills are a plus as they must be willing to challenge group thinking and ask difficult questions • Ability to simplify complex data and communicate clear recommendations to support business KPIs• Data science and model building experience a plus • Need an understanding of network and production capabilities/capacity• Comfortable with excel and pivot table functionality• Experience in optimization tools and principals required with SAP S4
