The Sales Finance Business Partner SuperUnie is responsible for supporting the Netherlands Sales Finance Lead in delivering Revenue & Profit targets, within customer remit (SU buying group). This is a key role in navigating the Dutch Sales team (SU) in delivering financial & commercial targets through implementation of NRM Strategy & Integrated Businss Planning process. Focus here is on the turnaround customer SuperUnie buying group and all its members, the 2nd biggest customer in the Netherlands. Key accountabilities include Pricing implementation & Trade Terms optimization (via Negos), Portfolio Mix management, Promotional efficiency and driving trade-off decisions. Significant complexity needs to be navigated driven both by the amount of accounts that need to be managed, as well as potential international buying group exposure. You will work closely together with one dedicated Sales Finance analyst based at the Capability Centre to drive the agenda as co-pilot of this account.
ResponsibilitiesTranslate the full P&L strategy into Annual Operating Plans (AOP) for SU;
- Partner with Net Revenue Management team to set annual targets, and FP&A for MarginalContribution/NOPBT (Net Operating Profit Before Tax) targets
- Supervise AOP build for SU through Capability Centre via bottom-up plan incorporating price, portfolio and mix strategies
- Ensure AOP plan is aligned to customer objectives and across functions, advise actions to remediate gaps to target
Dynamic execution of annual revenue & profit plans; bringing data-driven trade-off and course correction activity to Sales team for SU
- Partner with SU Sales team to execute annual pricing plan via Negotiation process
- Navigate SU Sales team to improve promo efficiency and drive mix initiatives
- Improve capabilities within Sales Teams for full P&L review, drive decision to improve PEP margins
- Lead monthly discussions about performance to the Sales leadership team, understand emerging trends, lessons for future and cause correction.
- Advice and counsel the Sales teams on actions to remediate any gaps to target
Provide world-class business partnership to Sales functions
- Support Sales Teams in getting stronger financial acumen and build capabilities to support decision towards sustainable MC/Profit growth vs previous Topline/Pricing focus
- Embed future ways of working to increase self-serve financial reporting & optimization with sales team
- Ensure accuracy of internal reporting data
- Embed & drive ongoing calendar optimization via TPM systems as further capability is released
- You have at least 5 years of experience in Finance (Commercial Finance, Revenue Management, FP&A, Analytics, etc...)
- You are analytical and you like to make informed business recommendations and ensure aligned to business strategy
- You manage the internal processes to optimize revenue, cost, cash flow and customer service
- You communicate persuasively to win support, minimize and remove barriers that get in the way of achieving results and leverage understanding of key business drivers to deliver results
