Applications are welcomed for the position of HR Associate Representative onsite here in PepsiCo Cork.

In this role you will be responsible for providing general HR support to the Ireland Operations groups. While initially you will be primarily based in either the Little Island or Carrigaline site, reporting into the respective HR Site Lead, you will need to be flexible to travel between all sites regularly as needed and also swap primary supporting lines and plants at a later point to enable professional development.

You will have responsibilities for certain HR activities across our Food Flavours, Little Island Concentrate, Carrigaline and Eastgate sites. Supporting the Site HR Leads this role plays a crucial part in onsite delivery of end to end HR related items as well as being involved in supporting with positive Labor Relations to the unionized groups onsite and driving onsite engagement and compliance from a HR perspective.

Responsibilities
  • Provide HR generalist support to the Ireland Operations groups across all sites in all HR advisory activities.
  • Work with the HR Site Leads on any support required to both Frontline and Non-Frontline operations employees, as well as plant leadership teams.
  • Ensure consistency of approach between sites and compliance from an employment legislation and HR best practice perspective.
  • Support HR Site Leads to drive and deliver positive Employee Labor Relations (ELR) agenda and proactively drive a culture of progressive Labor Relations (LR) including regular liaison with internal and external Union stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage employee engagement including items such as onsite Communications, Culture, Reward & Recognition, Inclusion for Growth workforce strategies etc.
  • Ownership of certain groups within the Ireland Operations population from a HR Business Partner perspective once adequate time in role has passed.
  • Supporting employees and sites with any issues including resourcing, performance management, reward and recognition, disciplinary issues and grievances.
  • Support with the delivery of Core People Processes including Performance Management, Talent Management & Development, Training, Comp & Benefits activities as well as frontline competency development programmes.
  • Partner with People Leaders to ensure that Company policies are applied consistently in each area within each site. Ensure full employee lifecycle activities are completed and managed in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Manage recruitment and selection activities with Talent Acquisition partners on site in conjunction with PepsiCo staffing policies to ensure a pipeline of talent.
  • Be the front face HR contact with the frontline employee group, working with the HR Operations team to ensure a good employee experience.
  • Manage occupational health and employee well-being programmes in conjunction with Health & Safety teams as well as supporting health and safety initiatives and training. 
  • Assist in the development and formulation of HR policies and procedures in line with changing business needs and ensure manager implementation of same
  • Support organisational health activities across all teams within Operations groups and take ownership of elements within this agenda.
  • Active participation in leading and implementing HR projects.
  • Other work as directed by your manager as/when required. 
Qualifications
  • Significant HR Generalist experience in similar or comparable and relevant role.
  • A HR degree, or business-related degree with HR/CIPD qualification.
  • An in-depth working knowledge of current Irish employment legislation.
  • Industrial Relations expertise and experience is highly desired and preferential in preferred candidate.
  • Industrial Relations experience supporting unionised groups in the private sector is highly desired
  • Experience in managing Employee Relations issues end to end (including grievances and disciplinary issues) in line with required processes.
  • Work experience in the HR field (supporting manufacturing or operations preferably)
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and employee relations skills
  • High-level PC literacy and knowledge of HR systems operation.
  • Experience in organizing successful team events and gaining alignment in terms of budgetary and operational support
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams is beneficial as well as an understanding of the impact on the bigger picture of seemingly small actions/ decisions.
